"Why does my computer freeze?" I was wondering this question myself not too long ago. I would be using my computer like any other time. When all of a sudden my computer freezes up. It contains the information that runs all of your software and hardware. As you install, update, and delete programs the registry becomes filled with unwanted information.

Like a traffic jam, your computer becomes congested with information and needs to be cleaned out to run fast again. The other problem is windows error messages and your computer freezing up. The only way to fix this problem and prevent these kinds of computer freezes is to repair the Windows registry. Because it is such a fragile area it was recommended to use a program to clean up registry errors for me. I did so and my computer stopped freezing almost immediately. Even better it began to run like it was brand new!

This should be free in most cases and it won't get you arrested unless the warrant is for something very serious. You have to go to the right courthouse for this to work though. If you aren't sure which county the warrant is in then you could try state records. Most counties feed their records up to the state but the process can be slow and sometimes not very reliable. To be on the safe side you should check warrant records at the county and state level.

Arrest warrants are public records and there are some web sites that are making it their business to collect all publicly available records from across the nation into a huge database. They then organize the data and make it all available to you for easy searching nationwide.

These public records web sites are very effective at finding information about people fast and it's not just arrest warrants either. You can search for criminal records and all sorts of background information. You can also do the search on anyone you want to, not just yourself.

Depending on which public records web site you use, you can either pay a small fee for each search that you do or, you can pay a small monthly subscription and do as many free arrest warrant searches as you want to. You can search nationwide and background check practically anyone.

I think sometimes that people get to thinking that Google owes them traffic. That all they should have to do is write an article, get a zillion inbound links to the article, and Google just owes them traffic.

But think about it - if YOU were a search engine, if YOU were Google - would YOU want your search engine full of quickly written spun articles that their only redeeming quality was that someone had gotten a bunch of links to them?

How A New York Traffic Ticket (including a New York Speeding Ticket) Effects Auto Insurance Rates

This Article addresses the effect on your automobile insurance rates from being convicted of a New York traffic ticket including speeding.

As a New York Traffic Lawyer, I often am asked will a conviction to a NY traffic ticket effect my insurance rates. This question is often posed because insurance rates are one of the primarily reasons why someone would want to fight a moving violation ticket. The short answer is sometimes "yes" and sometimes "no".

Under Insurance Law Section 2335, insurance companies in New York State may raise a motorist's insurance rates for a number of reasons. The ones involving the issuance of a traffic ticket are set forth below:

How A New York Traffic Ticket (including a New York Speeding Ticket) Effects Auto Insurance Rates

Motorist is convicted of driving sixteen (16) miles per hour (or more) over the limit Motorist has been convicted of speeding and/or reckless driving on 3 or more occasions Motorist has been convicted of speeding or reckless driving where injury or death results Motorist is convicted of driving while intoxicated or impaired (alcohol or drugs) Motorist is convicted of leaving the scene of an accident without reporting it Motorist is convicted or 2 or more moving violations

So what does this mean?

For a motorist with a clean record (i.e., no points, no accidents), a conviction to most "small" moving violations will NOT result in your insurance rates being raised. Examples of such offenses are disobey a red light, running a stop sign, failure to signal, speeding fifteen (15) miles per hour (or less) above the limit and improper turns. The second conviction, however, for a "small" offense can be used against you to hike your rates.

The next question commonly asked is how long will such a blemish on my driver record be held against me. The answer is 36 months from the date of conviction.

The lesson behind Section 2335 is that it does not take much for an insurance company to have a basis to raise your rates. One "big" ticket or two "small" tickets is enough. Therefore, it is generally worthwhile fighting any New York moving violation ticket to try and reduce or eliminate points.

Why Most AARTO Traffic Fines Issued Go Astray

The address to which thousands of AARTO traffic-fine notices issued each month are erroneously sent at public cost at a cost of over R3m in postage.

This outrageous statistic was emerged from a recent metro police chiefs' report. The documented flaws in the new Aarto system, as well as the costs from Aarto who is the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences (Aarto) Act is under the spotlight.

The new system, which includes a demerit point system that could ultimately cost serial road-regulation offenders of their needed driving licences, will be implemented countrywide in 2011.

Why Most AARTO Traffic Fines Issued Go Astray

The South African metro police chiefs say that the national eNaTIS system's address list is being used to send and post notices of traffic fines to all vehicle owners by registered post. It was reported at least 60% of these addresses are incorrect and that the fines issued go astray.

This report has been confirmed by the CEO MR, Ranthoko Rakgoale of the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC), which administers Aarto. It is known that eNaTIS draws its database information from forms which first ask all motorists to provide residential and then secondly their postal addresses.

While completing the postal address field, many motorists will often write: "As above". This "address" is then electronically captured by eNaTIS. This is where it all goes wrong.

When traffic fine notices are generated by the enatis system, the database information in the postal address field is then copied to the traffic fine notice for the local Post Office to deliver by registered post. This is why the post goes astray.

As a result of this problem, and other regular administrative errors, up to about 60% of the notices are returned undelivered. Often the Post office is blamed for this error, but it clearly a adminastrative problem.

The Post Office branches are struggling to handle the volumes of strayed AARTO notices.

Sadly the motorist is not able to benefit from the 32 days notice grace period, where they can dispute fines with irregularities or get 50% discount on the fines, because they do not they even have a fine issued.

Most motorist only find out about the offence when they are stopped in a road block or search on line for unaccounted fines issued.

Miami-Dade Traffic Ticket - How to Handle a Traffic Ticket That You Receive in Miami Dade County

Last year almost one million traffic tickets were issued in Miami-Dade County. If get a traffic ticket in Miami Dade you have three options: pay it, pay a reduced amount and elect traffic school, or fight it.

You must act fast. You have thirty days to make up your mind. After thirty days, the Court will impose a late fee if you want to pay it or attend traffic school, and a reset fee if you want to fight it. Also, remember that after thirty days you are subject to a driver's license suspension by the Florida DMV (now called DHSMV). Remember by paying your traffic ticket you could get points on your license, and that could cause your insurance rates to increase, and your driving license privileges to be suspended.

Elect School

If you do not hold a commercial driver's license, and your traffic ticket is not a: tag, registration, driver license, insurance or mandatory appearance traffic ticket you can elect traffic school. You can elect traffic school, and pay the reduced fine amount the same way as listed above, and you would have 120 days to complete the traffic school. If you elect to attend traffic school and do not comply within 120 days of election, you will be subject to a license suspension, point assessment and additional fees.

Step 2: Get more background information on someone

You may find like I did, that when you've narrowed down your search by race, age and sex you're still left with more than one name and you can't be sure that any one of them is the one you're looking for. You need to get more information on this person.

The BOP site is ok, it's free and it might just tell you everything you need to know. If it doesn't then you should subscribe to a web site that will give you all the information you could ever wish for on prison inmates and anyone else you fancy looking up. These websites gather information from thousands of places all over the Internet and offline too. They are easy to search and when you find the person that you're looking for you can do a full criminal records and background check on them. When you've done this you'll be far more confident that you've found the person that you're looking for.

Very few people will go their entire life without at least one traffic violation on their record. When this happens, it can adversely affect your car insurance rates. There are some important things you need to know about your driving record and how it can impact your car insurance in the future.

Tickets can range from moving violations such as speeding to non-moving violations like parking tickets. For the most part the only violations that will affect your automobile insurance are moving violations. Things like speeding and driving under the influence are at the top of the list. It is estimated that a speeding ticket can increase your insurance rates by as much as 25% for a first offense. On the outset that may not appear like a lot of money but when you consider that it will remain on your DMV report for up to three years you can see that it is a significant increase.

Any of the above violations will be reported on your driving record. Some offenses will take points away from your license. The points system is a system by which offenses are rated as points and when you reach a specific number of points, your license may be suspended. For example, a speeding ticket in West Virginia can cost you five points on your license and should you reach 12-13 points you license may be suspended for 30 days. Some states will revoke all driving privileges for a chronic offender.

Your DMV driving record is something that you need to check every so often to be sure it is free of any errors. With the impact that it can have on your car insurance you do not want to be paying for an infraction that you did not commit. The cost and procedure for obtaining your DMV report may vary from state to state however, your local office should be able to assist you. In some areas, you will automatically get a copy anytime a business like an insurance company requests one.

How are Violations Removed

Depending on the severity of the violation and the state in which the violation occurred, many tickets can remain on your driving record or criminal record for three years or more. Violations such as DUI or vehicular homicide will be on your criminal record as well as on your driving record.

To remove violations from your driving record you can of course dispute any that are in error. For the rest you may have to simply wait them out, some states will credit you for taking a driving safety course.

These courses can also reduce the cost of your insurance. However, the courses themselves are not free so you will want to weigh the gains against the cost. The moral of the story is this if you want to keep quality insurance at an affordable price keep a close watch on your driving record, and if you do get into some hot water be sure and consult an attorney before paying your tickets. When paying a speeding ticket you are admitting guilt and it will be on your driving record within 10 day. The fifty dollars in and of itself is not terrible but the resulting rise in your car insurance will be. Be aware of all these facts and take the appropriate steps to avoid them.

Offering free services - The latest news reels have been highlighting shops that have been helping their fellow citizens and getting some free exposure at the same time.  Free cuts to service men and women, children, first time customers, or those that have recently lost jobs can add a huge boost to goodwill.  We have seen lot's of reporting for owners who have provided a free styling, perm or coloring to aid the "job search" or to help folks out.  While this can be an expensive and time-consuming option, loyalty and word-of-mouth advertising couldn't be better.  Be creative...make the first cut a penny, or barter or imply something in return.  You may be pleasantly surprised at how much business this may draw. Remember that promotion is key to these type programs. Partner with schools or your local Chamber of Commerce - I can't say enough about partnering with elementary, middle or high schools.  Many have seen their budgets cut and some have lead to layoffs of teachers and administrators.  Having been actively involved in all our kids schools, I can't emphasize how important and beneficial this "two way street" can be to all involved. Go Private Label or Wholesale - Many salons and shops carry expensive name-brand products.  While this may boost name recognition, the objective is to move products and add an ancillary product line to your mix.  make sure stylists are educated and provide periodic or ongoing promotions to sell and gain loyalty through discounted effective products.  Purchasing wholesale direct-from-the-manufacturer allows for lowered costs and higher margins.  Plus, you can often provide products that are unique to your business - especially if private label is warranted. Direct mail or handouts - While direct mail not be the best choice, local mailings with unique offers drive traffic - as do handouts in grocery stores and public events (where it is possible and legal).  You'll be surprised how many folks will hang on to special offers (kids free with a cut, for your first cut, etc.) and show-up a week or two later.  Giving away discount tickets to attractions, specialty stores, or for related products can help as well.
